FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How long will it take to receive my order?
A.
Our garments are made to order, so it will take about 7 days to print and sew your garment plus shipping time. The actual shipping time will depend upon the carrier you choose. A good rule of thumb is to expect to receive your order in about two weeks or so. Of course, you'll be able to track your order online once it has been shipped.  Note that because our garments are made to order, the items cannot be shipped for next day delivery. You can of course, request expedited shipping after the garment is made. We recommend using the U.S. Priority mail option as it offers tracking and affordable.

Q. What is the difference between your leggings, capris and yoga pants?

A. Charmaine® leggings and capris are ideal for casual wear or light workouts. Our yoga pants are for more intense workouts and have a higher waistband, slightly longer inseam, a crotch gusset and top stitching for maximum flexibility. Our yoga pants also have an inner back pocket for keys.

Q. What level of compression are your leggings and yoga pants?
A. Our fabric is very stretchy and offers medium compression.

Q. What type of fabric is used in your activewear?
A.
Our fabric is 82% polyester and 18% Spandex—higher than most brands. It has four-way stretch. It is very soft and comfortable, and will never lose its stretch.

Q. Can you see through the fabric?
A. No, our fabric is opaque and you cannot see through it when it is worn.

Q. Is the printing on the garments colorfast?
A. Yes, our manufacturing facility uses a dye-sublimation process that uses a heat-transfer method to set the ink into the fabric fibers. Of course, you should follow the garment care instructions to ensure your garment lasts a long time.

Q. Are your garments machine washable?
A. Yes. Machine wash our garments in cold water and tumble dry with low heat, but do not iron them.

Q. Can your tote bags be washed?
A. Yes,  they can be machine washed with cold water, but do not put them in your dryer. Our tote bags should be drip dried. Do not use an iron on them.

Q. Will my item look exactly as shown on the Web site?
A. For the most part, yes. However, note that computer and mobile device monitors display colors differently than printed items because they use a different color space (i.e., RBG light vs. four-color process ink) therefore some color shifting could occur on a printed garment. Also, print placement on the garment may vary slightly depending upon the size.

Q. What is your return policy?
A.
Please review our Returns Policy page for detailed information. Below is a quick highlight of common concerns.

Defective Item - If a garment is received with a material defect please email Charmaine@charmainedesigns.com within 10 days of receipt of the item. Please include a description of the issue and attach a photo that shows the problem. If the garment is unworn, unwashed and is deemed defective by us, after viewing your email, we will log a claim on your behalf with our manufacturing facility, if they agree the item was defective or damaged, you may return it within 30 days for replacement or a refund. Note replaced items will require the same time to manufacture and ship as they are made to order.  Please keep the original packaging and packing slip along with garment tags in case a return is necessary. Please see our Returns Policy for more details and return shipping instructions.

Wrong Size -  Please review our Size Chart page before placing an order to ensure you order the proper size for your measurements. We do not accept returns for garments that do not fit. Because our garments are made to order, we do not stock inventory and can't exchange for a better size. However, if our manufacturing facility delivered the wrong size compared to what you ordered we can request they resolve the problem. If you need to order a different size, you will need to place a new order at your own expense including the cost of shipping.

Wrong Address - If you provide a shipping address that is considered insufficient by the courier, the shipment will be returned to our manufacturing facility in California. You will be responsible for reshipment costs once we have confirmed an updated address with you.
